Yoshimotozaka46 is the third group in Sakamichi Series (after Nogizaka46 and Keyakizaka46). It is recruited from entertainers represented by Yoshimoto Creative Agency, so not a typical idol group. This is a weekly variety show (broadcast every Tuesday late night) mapping their beginnings. Matsumura Sayuri (Nogizaka46) is an MC together with Higashino Kouji and Furukawa Youhei.
After a New Year’s break, the show is back with a double-length special. It is an overview of how the group used SHOWROOM (streaming platform) during audition rounds and up to their debut, there are also follow-up segments about unsuccessful applicants and what they are doing now. SHOWROOM president Maeda Yuji is a special guest in the studio, Matsumura Sayuri is again substituted by Nakada Kana. The next episode will be about promotion activities of the debut single.
