In 1991, it was revamped as "Education Seminar: NHK High School Course" to meet the general audience’s need for systematic learning programs. Following the revision of the curriculum guidelines in 2003 and the increase in students choosing correspondence high schools, the title was changed back to "NHK High School Course," and it was broadcast primarily for correspondence high school students at 107 schools nationwide, with the aim of being useful for self-study.
